We’re excited to co-lead a special group hike at Green Hills Preserve in celebration of National Trails Day. This event is part of the Berks Trail Challenge, a collaborative health and wellness initiative from Berks County Parks & Recreation and Tower Health, now in its third year of partnership with Natural Lands.
Lisa Gauker, recreation and special events supervisor for Berks County, and Preserve Manager Erin Smith will guide this hike alongside our partners from the Blue Mountain Eagle Climbing Club, who are helping us offer Spanish-language interpretation—making this a fully bilingual hiking experience.
Each site on the Trail Challenge hosts at least one organized group hike from May 1 through October 1. The challenge may be completed individually during that time frame, but all trails may be enjoyed year-round.
