SUMMARY:Insect Safari for Kids
DESCRIPTION:Bugs are all around us. Underground\, in the air\, underwater… they’re everywhere! Despite their small size\, insects are among the most important animals on the planet\, supporting our ecosystems from the ground up. Stoneleigh is home to many different insects\, from tiny beetles to giant dragonflies.     \nKids\, grab your favorite adult and join us on an insect safari in the garden as we search for bugs of all sorts. We’ll learn about their fascinating relationships with plants\, humans\, and each other. Afterward\, you’ll be ready to embark on an insect safari in your own backyard.   \nThis program takes places outdoors and is intended for kids aged 3 to 8 but older siblings are always welcome to join in the learning. \nThis event is made possible with generous support from    \nThe Kulicke Fund.

SUMMARY:Summer Barn Concert & Potluck
DESCRIPTION:Heartsongs & Harvest \nJoin us at Crow’s Nest Preserve’s beautifully rustic barn for a special evening of music\, food\, and community. This cool summertime gathering will feature an intimate performance by Anna Spackman. \nWe invite you to bring a dish to share and enjoy a potluck dinner with fellow guests before the concert.  \n \nAbout the artist: Anna Spackman delivers a soulful acoustic performance with songs that will linger in audience’s heads and hearts. After performing her early songs at the Steel City Open Mic as a teenager\, she moved to Oregon for several years\, soaking up indie\, folk\, and R&B influences of the local music scene. Having returned to Phoenixville\, Anna has shared the stage with Amy Correia\, Lucy Kaplansky\, and Chris Pureka. Anna’s soaring vocals and complex musical landscapes pay tribute to songwriters such as Joni Mitchell\, Shawn Colvin\, and Ani DiFranco. Anna has four albums and one EP available on all streaming services\, and bonus tracks up on her Bandcamp. Her newer songs explore hope and resilience in the face of oppressive systems\, and seek to connect us back to ourselves and one another.

SUMMARY:Volunteer - Give Back to Nature
DESCRIPTION:Love nature and want to lend her a helping hand? Grab gloves and join fellow volunteers in nurturing nature. Good fun (and dirt) is guaranteed! Natural Lands cares for more than 23\,000 acres and 120 miles of trails\, and we couldn’t do it without volunteers like you. \nVolunteering with Natural Lands is a great way to learn more about the natural world\, give your time to a great cause\, and connect with enthusiastic\, like-minded people. \nThe health and safety of staff and volunteers is our highest priority during this volunteer event. Please review “before you go” details. \nCapacity is limited for this small-group event. If you sign-up\, please show up. If you need to cancel\, please let us know so another volunteer can attend. All are welcome\, ages 12 and up. Minors ages 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult and registered in the same transaction with their guardians.
