SUMMARY:Release & Renew: Mini Wellness Retreat - SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:This event is sold out. Please join us for a future event. \nAre you looking for an opportunity to declutter your over-stimulated mind and over-taxed body? Take some time for yourself at our mini wellness retreat at Hildacy Preserve. Come gather with others in a safe and nurturing environment to help release unnecessary stress and renew your spirits.   \nDuring the session\, Christina Fittipoldi will lead us in a gentle yoga practice\, accessible for all\, and breathwork to support self-awareness.   \nIf the weather permits\, we will explore the beauty of Hildacy with a moving meditation connecting us to nature to soothe our souls.    \nWe will finish our morning with a sound bath with singing bowls played on and off the body for deep relaxation and grounding offered by certified vibrational sound practitioner Mindie Hung.   \nAbout the instructors:   \nChristina Fittipoldi: Completed a 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training in May 2015 and began teaching a wide variety of asana movements at multiple studios. Eager to dive deeper\, she completed the 300-hour teacher training at Main Line Yoga Shala in December 2019 entitled “Agni Moksha.” She enjoys guiding students mindfully through safe and responsible movement using body and breath awareness\, allowing students to journey within.   \nMindie Hung: In 2017\, she became a certified vibrational sound therapy practitioner with the Vibrational Sound Association after her own healing journey began while experiencing the power of sound healing. Since then\, she has had many clients report feeling a deeper sense of connection to self\, feeling more relaxed\, better sleep and overall well-being. Some benefits of sound healing include improved mental focus\, reduced stress and anxiety\, and improved mood.

SUMMARY:SOLD OUT Remember the Ladies: The Legacy of the Women of Stoneleigh
DESCRIPTION:This event is sold out. Please join us for a future event. \nJoin us for an unforgettable journey through time highlighting the women who lived and worked at Stoneleigh. Dating as far back as the 1680s\, historical records paint a vivid picture of the history of Stoneleigh through the years\, from its origins as a home to the Lenape people\, to its time as a Quaker settlement and active farm\, and finally as an estate to three prominent Main Line families. \nErin Betley of the Lower Merion Historical Society will present the findings of years of research into the women who shaped the story of Stoneleigh over many decades\, creating a legacy that can now be enjoyed by all as a public garden.     \nThe evening will include a presentation\, opportunities to view historic materials from the LMHS collection\, and a Q&A with Erin. This event will take place in the Main House at Stoneleigh\, and light refreshments will be served. \nThis program is presented in collaboration with the Lower Merion Historical Society.  \nPlease note: the inclement weather date for this event is Thursday\, February 19.

SUMMARY:CANCELLED - Mantis Meadow Scavenger Hunt
DESCRIPTION:This event has been cancelled due to mud and rain conditions. Please join us at our next Mantis Meadow Scavenger Hunt on Saturday\, March 7 at Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary. \nNot all mantises are welcome…  \nMany people are surprised to learn that the praying mantises they spot in their gardens might not be native—and that some invasive species can pose serious threats to local wildlife\, even preying on hummingbirds.  \nJoin us for a fun\, hands-on scavenger hunt in the meadow to search for and remove invasive mantis egg cases (ootheca)\, which are distinct from those of native mantises. Along the way\, you’ll learn how to tell the difference between species and help protect the balance of our local ecosystems.  \nAll collected egg cases will be donated to our partners at Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research\, where they’ll help feed recovering baby birds this spring and summer—turning an invasive problem into a nurturing solution.  \nHelp native wildlife and support bird rehab with your efforts.  \n
