A former forestry technician for the USDA and a certified arborist\, Max is a tree nerd\, ecology lover\, ethical forager and wildcrafter\, home-herbalist\, and all-around plant and nature enthusiast. Max is also certified in permaculture design\, and is a maker\, artist\, and community organizer. We’ll explore the vital restoration efforts taking place in the area\, as well as other conservation projects aimed at improving the ecology of this forested preserve.  \nWhether you’re a nature enthusiast or simply looking to enjoy the outdoors\, this hike is a wonderful way to connect with nature and learn about the ongoing stewardship efforts at Sadsbury Woods.  \nThis event is free\, but registration is encouraged.  \nPlan for delays and prepare to leave a bit early for arrival to Sadsbury Woods. Please be aware\, ongoing construction has been scheduled to occur on Old Wilmington Road through the end of the year. Attendees will still have access to the preserve\, but please account for possible delays in your travel time.

This celestial balancing of day and night offers us a time of reflection and community\, as we gather beneath the full moon for a seasonal amble\, and connect with like-minded individuals.  \nWelcome autumn among friends—new and old—and feel free to bring your furry friends along. (That’s right\, well-behaved and leashed dogs are welcome at this event!)  \nOptional: Bring a potluck dish to share. We will light a campfire and commune beneath the moonlight while enjoying some good food and conversation.  \nNatural Lands’ NextGen Council encourages folks in their 20s\, 30s\, and 40s to join us\, but this event is open to all.
