SUMMARY:Tree Drawing for Beginners Workshop Series: Session 3
DESCRIPTION:Join artist Henry Martin for this four-session class designed for anyone who enjoys the natural world and wants to explore it more deeply through drawing. This is a basic drawing class based on nature highlighting—but not limited to—trees. The first week will focus on paying attention to our perceptions through common artists’ exercises. In the second week\, we’ll analyze the structure of the plants we will draw. The remaining weeks will allow us to explore the fun and joy we can experience with drawing\, with opportunities for self-directed focus and subjects.    \nrequired materials:   \n\nPencils (HB\, 2B\, 4B)  \n\n\nDrawing pad no smaller than 11” x 14”  \n\n\nStadtler Mars eraser  \n\n\nPencil sharpener  \n\n\nWater bottle  \n\n\nChair  \n\nabout the instructor    \nHenry Martin is a Philadelphia-based artist who teaches drawing and painting. He has called Philadelphia home since coming to study at the Pennsylvania Academy and University of Pennsylvania over 30 years ago.
