DESCRIPTION:Help make ChesLen Chase a fun\, safe\, and memorable event. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support this race and Natural Lands’ mission of saving open space\, caring for nature\, and connecting people to the outdoors and each other.  \nWhether you enjoy greeting people\, helping behind the scenes\, or cheering on runners\, there’s a role for you. No experience is necessary\, just a positive attitude and a willingness to help.  \nVolunteer Roles Include:  \n\nT-shirt Distribution – Help runners pick up their race shirts \n\n\nParking Guides – Direct participants and ensure smooth arrivals \n\n\nWater Stop – Hand out water to keep runners hydrated \n\n\nCourse Marshals – Encourage runners and help keep them on course  \n\n\nCrossing Guards – Assist with safe road crossings along the course \n\n\nFinish Line Table – Support race wrap-up and congratulate finishers \n\nVolunteer Shifts:  \n\nShift 1: 9:25 – 11:15 AM \n\n\nShift 2: 11:15 AM – 12:30 PM \n\nYou’re welcome to sign up for one or both shifts. Roles will be assigned following registration\, and training will be provided a week before the event.   \nBy volunteering\, you’ll play a key role in supporting Natural Lands’ mission while enjoying the energy of race day and the beauty of ChesLen Preserve. The fun continues after crossing the finish line. \nThe post-race party features music\, craft beer from East Branch Brewing Company\, yummy food truck fare from Delco Steaks\, and an awards ceremony. \nThe nitty-gritty details: \nRace day registration: Saturday\, May 9\, 9:45 – 10:45 am at ChesLen Preserve’s Lenfest Center\, 1199 Cannery Road\, Coatesville\, PA 19320 \n* 5K Trail Run – 11:00 am\n$35 Pre-registration (on or before May 8)\, $40 Late and Race Day Registration (after May 8) \n* 2-Mile Fun Run-Walk – 10:05 am\n$20 Pre-registration (on or before May 8)\, $25 Late and Race Day Registration (after May 8) \n* Youth 6 – 12\n$15 Pre-registration (on or before May 8)\, $20 Late and Race Day Registration (after May 8) \n* Youth 5 and under – Free \nNatural Lands members receive a $5 discount! \n \nRace Course:\nThis challenging trail run through ChesLen Preserve includes steep hills\, creek crossings\, woodlands\, and open fields.
