DESCRIPTION:Join botanical artist Margaret Saylor for a program encouraging observation of the natural world through drawing. We’ll explore the minute details and plant characteristics of spring specimens.    \nBegin a sketchbook or add to an existing one. Use graphite\, Micron pen\, and/or watercolor to depict plant life. Who knows… this could be the start of a lifelong sketchbook habit.  \nAbout the instructor: Margaret Saylor has a Certificate in Botanical Art and Illustration with distinction\, from The New York Botanical Garden. She has taught numerous botanical art workshops and technique classes throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. Her medium is watercolor on vellum\, egg tempera\, and graphite. We will also make a special stop to view the current largest-known tree in Pennsylvania\, the Kimberton Sycamore.  \nWhether you’re a tree enthusiast\, a nature lover\, or simply curious about the stories our forests tell\, this tour will deepen your appreciation for the remarkable trees that surround us.
