DESCRIPTION:Did you know more than 40\,000 plants thrive at Stoneleigh: a natural garden? Grab gloves and join staff and fellow volunteers in weeding\, planting\, mulching\, and other seasonal garden projects. \nVolunteering with Natural Lands is a great way to learn more about the natural world\, give your time to a great cause\, and connect with like-minded people. \nThe health and safety of staff and volunteers is our highest priority during this volunteer event. Please review “before you go” details. \nCapacity is limited for this small-group event\, and pre-registration is required. If you sign-up\, please show-up. If you need to cancel\, please let us know so another volunteer can attend. All are welcome\, ages 12 and up. Children age 12-14 must be accompanied by an adult.

DESCRIPTION:You’ve likely seen tracks and traces (like scat)\, but perhaps never caught a glimpse of a coyote.  \nLearn about some of the amazing ecology and folklore behind this misunderstood mammal.    \nOur partner\, Julie Travaglini with Allegheny Land Trust\, will explore just how common coyotes are in PA.  \nGrab a warm drink\, get cozy with a blanket\, charge your laptop (or smartphone)\, and join the program via Zoom.    \nAbout the instructor:   \nJulie is the Senior Director of Education and Curriculum for Allegheny Land Trust’s. In her role\, she creates hands-on STEM and place-based lessons for children and adults alike as well as providing state accredited professional development for educators.
