And don’t you think  \nthe trees\, especially those with  \nmossy hollows\, are beginning to look for  \nthe birds that will come—six\, a dozen—to sleep  \ninside their bodies? And don’t you hear  \nthe goldenrod whispering goodbye\,  \nthe everlasting being crowned with the first  \ntuffets of snow? The pond  \nstiffens and the white field over which  \nthe fox runs so quickly brings out  \nits long blue shadows. The wind wags  \nits many tails.
