Grab gloves and join staff and fellow volunteers in weeding\, planting\, mulching\, and other seasonal garden projects. \nVolunteering with Natural Lands is a great way to learn more about the natural world\, give your time to a great cause\, and connect with like-minded people. \nThe health and safety of staff and volunteers is our highest priority during this volunteer event. Please review “before you go” details. \nCapacity is limited for this small-group event\, and pre-registration is required. If you sign-up\, please show-up. If you need to cancel\, please let us know so another volunteer can attend. All are welcome\, ages 12 and up. Children age 12-14 must be accompanied by an adult.

DESCRIPTION:Take a break from your evening routine to join Willistown Parks and Preserves Steward John Holback and Natural Lands’ Tianna Godsey at Serpentine and Willisbrook Preserves for a relaxing and meditative hike that will titillate your senses. Experience the sights of bats silhouetted against the darkening sky\, the smells of plants releasing their volatile oils into the air\, and the sounds of the creek bubbling happily along after summer rains during (arguably) the best time of the day. We will stroll at a slow pace while identifying plants and birds and will leave time at the end to sit and relax before we head home. \nFor ages 12 and up. Space is limited – participants must be comfortable walking along wooded trails. Please bring a blanket or chair to sit on if you would like. Leave your four-legged friends at home.
