SUMMARY:Secret Life of Colors: A Landscape Oil Painting Workshop 9/12 + 9/13
DESCRIPTION:There’s more to color than meets the eye. In this playful\, hands-on workshop\, we’ll unlock the secrets of color mixing using a limited palette.  \nZoom Introduction: You will begin the day before with a Zoom introduction to the workshop where Karen will give a short color-mixing demo. She will provide students with information on color theory and a reference photo for the next day.   \nAt Crow’s Nest Preserve: In person\, Karen will guide you through doing your own color exercises where you’ll learn to mix a wide range of colors; create atmosphere and harmony; and use temperature\, value\, and contrast to create an expressive landscape painting.  \nWe’ll break for a half-hour lunch. (Karen will provide snacks\, but please bring a bagged lunch.)  \nIn the second half of the day\, you’ll apply your new skills to a small painting using a landscape reference provided by the instructor.
