Whether it’s a fleeting moment of wildlife\, a quiet landscape\, or a close-up marvel of the forest\, we want to see what makes Mariton special to you. \nWhat we’re seeking: \nSubmit a single\, original photo that reflects your unique connection to Mariton. Categories may include (but aren’t limited to): \n\nLandscape photography\nWildlife in action\nMacro and detail photography\nEnvironmental storytelling\n\nLet your lens tell the story of Mariton’s wild\, subtle\, and serene spirit. \nShowcase & Celebration: \nSelected photographs will be featured in a special gallery exhibit at the Mariton Nature Center\, online\, and across our social media platforms. Grab gloves and join staff and fellow volunteers in weeding\, planting\, mulching\, and other seasonal garden projects. \nVolunteering with Natural Lands is a great way to learn more about the natural world\, give your time to a great cause\, and connect with like-minded people. \nThe health and safety of staff and volunteers is our highest priority during this volunteer event. Please review “before you go” details. \nCapacity is limited for this small-group event\, and pre-registration is required. If you sign-up\, please show-up. If you need to cancel\, please let us know so another volunteer can attend. All are welcome\, ages 12 and up. Children age 12-14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Learn tricks and tips to make sure your property is a winter wonderland for native wildlife. \nOur partner\, Julie Travaglini with Allegheny Land Trust\, will explore the benefits of preparing our gardens for the fall and winter seasons. \nGrab a refreshment\, get cozy\, charge your laptop (or smartphone)\, and join the program via Zoom. \nAbout our instructor: \nJulie is the Senior Director of Education and Curriculum for Allegheny Land Trust’s. In her role\, she creates hands-on STEM and place-based lessons for children and adults alike as well as providing state accredited professional development for educators.
