Meditative Hike in Serpentine & Willisbrook Preserves
September 23 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Take a break from your evening routine to join Willistown Parks and Preserves Steward John Holback and Natural Lands’ Tianna Godsey at Serpentine and Willisbrook Preserves for a relaxing and meditative hike that will titillate your senses. Experience the sights of bats silhouetted against the darkening sky, the smells of plants releasing their volatile oils into the air, and the sounds of the creek bubbling happily along after summer rains during (arguably) the best time of the day. We will stroll at a slow pace while identifying plants and birds and will leave time at the end to sit and relax before we head home.
For ages 12 and up. Space is limited – participants must be comfortable walking along wooded trails. Please bring a blanket or chair to sit on if you would like. Leave your four-legged friends at home. Rain date: Thursday, 9/25.
Park at the gravel lot parallel to the the soccer fields at 139 Line Road, Malvern.

About the property
Willisbrook Preserve is a 126 acre mix of woods and grassland meadows, including just over 20 acres of a rare ecosystem known as the Sugartown Serpentine Barrens. These barrens support a variety of plant species, many of which are threatened or endangered.
parking
Please park at the paved parking lot located at the Greater Chester Valley Soccer Association fields on Line Road, 7/10 mile northwest of Boot Road. If that parking lot is closed, there is a gravel parking lot at Willistown Township’s Serpentine Preserve, 143 Line Road, Malvern, PA 19355.
